Dogecoin rebounded from a multi-day low after a failed push at a key resistance level near $0.10, and analyst Ali Martinez says a decisive close above $0.095 could open the door to a 14% move toward $0.106. The same week's spot ETF inflows, however, cooled off after setting a record.
Dogecoin was rejected before it could truly challenge the $0.10 resistance earlier this week, yet it has since climbed back from the subsequent low. Popular analyst Ali Martinez says a breakout may be brewing, but only if the meme coin clears a key level first. The ETF inflow data, though, does not support that thesis yet.
A Possible 14% Move
The meme coin surged to $0.104 during the market-wide rally on September 22-23 before sellers stepped in hard, and it slumped to $0.92 within hours. It has since tried to retake the $0.10 resistance several times without success.
The latest rejection came on Friday amid a market-wide crash that drove bitcoin down by over $3,500. Dogecoin dipped from $0.098 to $0.091 before it rebounded to $0.092-$0.093 over the weekend. Martinez notes the asset's consolidation inside a descending triangle continues on the 4-hour chart, and it would have to close above $0.095 decisively on that timeframe to confirm a bullish breakout.
Martinez, who last week outlined that DOGE whales had scooped up over 1.14 billion tokens in four days, predicts a 14% surge to $0.106 would follow if the coin reclaims that resistance level. As he put it, "the structure is becoming increasingly compressed, and a breakout could be getting closer".
ETF Flows Suggest Caution
The last full business week of September brought a record for Dogecoin's spot ETFs, with net inflows near $2.90 million — far below what bitcoin, ether, XRP, or solana ETFs pull in, but a first for the meme coin. That momentum did not carry into the next week, though. Data from SoSoValue shows the interest evaporated on Monday before inflows returned Tuesday at $878,790. Investors then pulled $551,430 a day later, and there were no reportable inflows on October 1 and 2.
