US spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $1.92 billion last week, their strongest weekly haul in 10 months, as Bitcoin surged roughly 23%. A single-day inflow of $606.3 million on August 20 marked the funds' best day in more than three months, reversing a nearly $390 million outflow the week before.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs listed in the United States pulled in a combined $1.92 billion in net inflows last week, according to data from SoSoValue. That is the largest weekly haul since early October last year, when the funds attracted $2.71 billion in net weekly inflows.
The rebound followed a rough patch. The same funds had suffered nearly $390 million in net outflows the previous week.
Bitcoin's rally drove the turnaround
The inflows tracked a rally in Bitcoin itself. The cryptocurrency climbed around 23% last week, its biggest weekly gain in more than three years. It is now trading at around $79,473, up about 3% over the past day.
The funds also logged their strongest single-day inflow in more than three months on August 20, when investors poured in $606.3 million.
Taran Dhillon, head of digital assets at Kula, told Cryptoprowl that a short squeeze and a sharp drop in long-term Treasury yields, after the US Treasury increased its long-dated bond buybacks, amplified the move. He added that the SEC's proposed crypto rules and President Trump's renewed push for the CLARITY Act also helped reinforce the rally.
Flows depend on the macro backdrop
However, Dhillon cautioned that the macro backdrop will be critical for ETF flows to stay strong, since Bitcoin remains highly sensitive to yields, dollar strength, and expectations for Federal Reserve policy. According to Dhillon: "We already saw how quickly ETF demand can turn when rate-cut expectations weaken."
Markus Levin, co-founder of XYO, told Cryptoprowl he expects spot Bitcoin ETF flows to stay positive this week, though probably with more volatility than last week. He said the key factors will be whether broader liquidity conditions remain supportive and whether investors still see current levels as an attractive entry point.
