Bitcoin has spent the weekend pinned a few hundred dollars below $65,000, capping a volatile week that saw the asset dip to $62,200 before climbing to a high of $65,400 on Friday. Meanwhile, Audiera's BEAT token jumped 50% in 24 hours to lead a mixed session across altcoins, with BNB and Solana posting gains while XRP and Dogecoin slipped.
Bitcoin's price action has gone quiet over the weekend, and the asset is now trading a few hundred dollars below $65,000, a level it has held since Saturday.
Bitcoin's volatile week ends flat
The business week began on the wrong foot for the largest cryptocurrency. Bitcoin had recovered some ground the previous weekend and sat close to $64,000, but it was quickly rejected on Monday morning and slipped to $62,200. Buyers stepped back in, however, and helped the asset rebound to $64,000 by Tuesday morning.
Bitcoin then posted gradual gains over the next few days and tapped $65,000, where it stalled after the CLARITY Act faced another setback in the US Senate. A weak jobs report on Friday then drove the asset to $65,400 before it retreated to $65,000 and spent all of Saturday there.
Its market capitalization remains at around $1.3 trillion. Bitcoin's dominance over the altcoins stands above 57% on CG.
BEAT leads a mixed altcoin session
Audiera's BEAT token is the standout gainer of the day: it has skyrocketed 50% in the past 24 hours and tapped $3.30. PUMP and CC follow with gains of 8-10%, while CRO has erased some of its prior losses and neared $0.05 again.
Elsewhere, Solana has reclaimed the $76 level after a 2% increase, and Zcash sits close to $220 following a near-3% jump. BNB is above $600 now, while XRP, HYPE, Dogecoin, and RAIN have marked minor losses; Ether still stands above $1,900.
The cumulative market cap of all crypto assets has slipped by around $25 billion, down to $2.275 trillion on CG.
