A Bitcoin address took in 6,494 BTC over three weeks and moved its entire confirmed balance through transactions that also paid a wallet historically attributed to Binance. The roughly $423 million flow puts the coins within reach of exchange infrastructure, but the on-chain record cannot confirm a sale or identify who controls the address.

A Bitcoin address took in 6,494 BTC over three weeks and then spent its full confirmed balance, sending nearly all of the coins through transactions that also paid a wallet historically attributed to Binance. The flow was worth roughly $423 million, placing a substantial block of bitcoin within reach of exchange infrastructure.

Lookonchain surfaced the address early Sunday and described its owner as a mysterious whale, possibly a miner. The transaction history establishes the route and the scale of the flow, but it leaves that ownership description uncorroborated.

How the address moved the coins

The address logged 45 confirmed incoming outputs totaling 6,494.34685667 BTC between July 19 and Aug. 8, then spent the same total, leaving a zero confirmed balance across 70 confirmed transactions in all. Of the 25 transactions that spent from it, 23 also paid the Binance-attributed wallet, moving 6,494.33835675 BTC out of the address. The final confirmed receipt delivered 1,000.00882659 BTC on Aug. 8, and a follow-on transaction spent it within two and a half hours.

Attribution traces to 2022, not current control

The destination wallet appeared in a 2022 proof-of-reserves report that listed it among addresses Binance controlled at the time. A later US federal court record also identified it as tied to Binance, though both establish attribution only at their respective dates, not current control in August 2026.

That pattern fits deposit-and-sweep activity, the process exchanges use to consolidate incoming coins. An external holder preparing to trade and an exchange reorganizing its own wallets can leave a similar trail, so the flow marks exchange exposure rather than a confirmed sale.

Bitcoin trades near $65,178 as signals develop

Bitcoin traded near $65,178 at the time of the analysis. The token was down 2.03% over the past 24 hours and ranked first by market cap.

The next useful signals are additional confirmed flows along the same route, plus changes in broader exchange balances and spot volume, which would show whether the market is absorbing the supply.
