Canary Capital has filed with the SEC for a staked INJ ETF, a move Injective's CEO says could launch before 2027. The Injective Foundation separately launched the Trench Treasury to fund smaller builders in its ecosystem, while the token's price consolidates between $7.5 and $7.7.
Canary Capital has filed with the SEC for a staked INJ ETF, seeking to offer investors exposure to Injective beyond the trust's operating expenses and other liabilities. The fund also aims to earn additional INJ by participating in Injective's staking program.
Injective CEO Erick Chen said the ETF is expected to launch before 2027. If the SEC approves it, the product would position INJ for greater institutional exposure, especially now that spot ETFs have gained momentum.
Trench Treasury targets smaller builders
Alongside the ETF filing, the Injective Foundation launched the Trench Treasury to fund projects and communities that help the ecosystem grow. The initiative backs organic growth, fair launches, and real liquidity, and rewards loyal community members.
What sets the Trench Treasury apart is its focus on smaller teams rather than established projects alone. The Foundation frames the effort around two goals: backing builders genuinely building with INJ, and rewarding individuals who have already contributed to the ecosystem's growth. It is not meant to seed more projects but to encourage builders to create something new.
Capital flows shift as developments land
Investors have responded to the two developments by adjusting capital deployment. On the spot side, Injective's Spot Netflow dropped to -$1.12 million, reversing the positive flow recorded the previous day.
Perpetuals told a different story. Injective's Perpetual Volume rose to $54 million from $53 million the previous day, pointing to renewed interest in leveraged positions.
Price holds between $7.5 and $7.7
Structurally, Injective's momentum remains weak. The altcoin has continued to hover between $7.5 and $7.7 as momentum indicators lean bearish.
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence indicator has trended downward since forming a bearish crossover a week earlier, and the Stochastic indicator also formed a bearish crossover, confirming the weakness. If the momentum continues, Injective could breach $7.5 and revisit $7.1. However, if the staked ETF and Trench Treasury draw buyers back and sustain demand, INJ could clear the $7.7 resistance and move above $8.
