Capital B has bought 376 Bitcoin for 25.3 million euros ($29.5 million), its largest purchase in nearly a year, lifting total holdings to 3,521 BTC. The buy puts the French treasury company ahead of Sweden's H100 Group among Europe's publicly traded Bitcoin holders.
Capital B has acquired 376 Bitcoin (BTC) for 25.3 million euros ($29.5 million), bringing its total holdings to 3,521 BTC. The purchase was funded after the company completed roughly 30.1 million euros ($35 million) in capital raises, including a private placement backed by investors Adam Back and TOBAM.
How the purchase was structured
Capital B paid an average of 67,182 euros per coin, with Swissquote Bank Europe executing the trade and Taurus providing custody. Separately, Capital B confirmed it completed a 25.3 million euro capital increase to fund the acquisition. The purchase moved the company to 25th among publicly traded companies by Bitcoin holdings, according to BitcoinTreasuries.net.
Across its full treasury, Capital B has spent 309.4 million euros at an average cost of 87,878 euros per BTC. It also holds 61 BTC for operational purposes, kept separate from the treasury reserve and excluded from its Bitcoin-related performance metrics.
Capital B overtakes H100 in Europe
The purchase puts Capital B 15 BTC ahead of Sweden's H100 Group, which more than tripled its Bitcoin holdings to 3,506 BTC in August after acquiring Norwegian companies holding 2,455 BTC. Both companies, however, remain behind Germany's Bitcoin Group SE, which holds 3,605 BTC.
Other treasury firms keep accumulating
Not every company is following the same path. K Wave Media and Sequans Communications have moved to unwind their Bitcoin treasuries, even as others keep adding to theirs. Japan's Metaplanet acquired 2,823 BTC during the second quarter for about $222 million, lifting its holdings to 43,000 BTC and making it the third-largest corporate Bitcoin holder behind Strategy and Twenty One Capital.
Strategy itself resumed buying in August after a two-month pause, acquiring 4,603 BTC for $370 million. That brought its total to 845,050 BTC bought for a combined $63.3 billion.
