Chainlink's Data Feeds and Data Streams are now live on the Stellar network, giving developers market data for lending, trading and derivatives apps. The network already hosts more than $4 billion in tokenized real-world assets, and the Stellar Development Foundation is subsidizing the oracle costs.
Chainlink's Data Feeds and Data Streams went live on Stellar mainnet on October 14, 2026, giving developers on the network a built-in source of market data. The Stellar Development Foundation announced that the feeds can power lending platforms, prediction markets and perpetual futures exchanges.
What the oracle integration enables
An oracle supplies external market information to blockchain apps. Smart contracts use it to determine collateral values, calculate loan-to-value ratios and trigger automated liquidations.
According to the foundation, Stellar ecosystem applications are already adopting the infrastructure for lending operations and stablecoin pricing. Crypto Briefing adds that the launch is built to serve lending, trading and derivatives applications from day one.
A $4 billion pool of tokenized assets
Stellar supports more than $4 billion in tokenized real-world assets. The integration is a push to let those assets be traded, used as collateral and built into more sophisticated financial products.
Raja Chakravorti, chief business officer at the Stellar Development Foundation, said issuing assets is only the first stage. According to Chakravorti: "Tokenization is only the beginning," he said, adding that institutional-scale markets need dependable systems for pricing, execution and asset movement.
Scale program and what remains
The launch follows Stellar's decision to join the Chainlink Scale program. In October 2025, Stellar committed to the program, which covers both data tools and the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). The foundation is subsidizing oracle operations, which lowers costs for developers.
The CCIP component was not part of the latest launch announcement. Crypto Briefing lists whether it reaches mainnet among the things to watch, alongside new lending and derivatives protocols on Stellar.
