Coinbase-backed advocacy group Stand With Crypto has endorsed 32 sitting House lawmakers ahead of the November 2026 midterms, all of whom previously voted to advance the CLARITY Act. The move expands a campaign that began with six endorsements in March and comes as the crypto market-structure bill remains stalled in the Senate.

Stand With Crypto, the advocacy organization launched by Coinbase in 2023, endorsed 32 candidates for House of Representatives seats ahead of the 2026 US midterm elections based on their digital asset policy views. Every lawmaker in the group previously voted to advance the CLARITY Act through the House.

Endorsements span both parties

The list includes lawmakers from both major parties. Republicans Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga received backing alongside Democrats Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer, while Arizona Republican Juan Ciscomani and Pennsylvania Republican Brian Fitzpatrick are also among the endorsed lawmakers running in competitive districts. The organization plans to announce its Senate endorsements closer to Election Day.

Stand With Crypto executive director Mason Lynaugh said the group targeted candidates it called proven digital asset policy champions, also focusing on competitive races where its advocate numbers are most likely to influence outcomes. According to Cointelegraph: "Crypto Voters have become a durable, motivated voting bloc".

Lynaugh added that the group's approach has shifted since its first campaign, saying it is now demonstrating its organizing capacity and its advocates' ability to move races, unlike in 2024 when it was still proving that the crypto voter existed.

CLARITY Act still stalled in the Senate

The endorsements arrive as the CLARITY Act remains held up in the Senate, which would set federal rules for digital assets and divide regulatory responsibilities between the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The House passed the bill with bipartisan support in July 2025, but the Senate's consideration has been marked by discussions over ethics, tokenization and stablecoin rewards.

CLARITY is scheduled for a cloture motion once the Senate returns from recess on Sept. 15, but the chamber will only have 14 days in session before breaking ahead of the November election. After the midterms, the Senate will have another 22 days before 2027 to return the bill to the House.

Industry spending expands for 2026

During the 2024 election cycle, organizations and political action committees backed by crypto companies spent more than $170 million supporting candidates they considered favorable to the industry, many of whom won their races. For the current midterm cycle, industry-backed political groups have reportedly committed close to $200 million, including spending through super PACs such as Fairshake.

Coinbase says Stand With Crypto now has more than 3 million registered US advocates and focuses on organizing voters rather than making large direct campaign expenditures. Stand With Crypto said more than 270 pro-crypto candidates were sent to Congress in 2025, potentially influencing votes on legislation such as the GENIUS Act.
