Drone attack halts production at Iraq’s Khor Mor gas field

Production stopped at Iraq's Khor Mor gas field in the Kurdistan region after a drone attack, two security sources told Reuters. An engineer at the field said a gas storage facility was hit.

Production was halted on Sunday at Iraq's Khor Mor gas field after a drone attack targeted the site, two security sources said. Khor Mor is one of the largest gas fields in the Kurdistan region.

The two sources said smoke was seen rising from the field. An engineer working there said the attack hit a gas storage facility, and that all crew were ordered into shelters for fear of further attacks.

The field supplies gas for regional power generation, according to Reuters.
