Ether ETFs lost more money than Bitcoin ETFs during Oct. 12–16, according to Farside Investors data. Total withdrawals across the five tracked groups slowed from the previous week.
U.S. Ether funds recorded $320.1 million in net withdrawals during Oct. 12–16, overtaking the $228.4 million that left Bitcoin funds. The crossover reflected a sharper slowdown in Bitcoin withdrawals, not an acceleration in Ether exits, according to The Defiant.
Total outflows fall from $1.29 billion a week earlier
Across the five groups Farside tracks, net withdrawals totaled $610.7 million. That compares with $1.29 billion the previous week.
However, the pace of Bitcoin exits changed most. Bitcoin outflows fell 66% from the $678.9 million recorded during Oct. 5–9, while Ether withdrawals eased from $542.2 million.
BlackRock's ETHA accounts for 93.4% of Ether outflows
Ether funds recorded four negative sessions and one positive day. Wednesday brought the week's largest exit at $129.5 million, and Thursday and Friday added withdrawals of $60.3 million and $69.7 million.
BlackRock's ETHA lost $299 million, equivalent to 93.4% of the category's net weekly outflow. Fidelity's FETH, by contrast, attracted $10.5 million over the week.
Bitcoin funds lose $228.4 million despite Tuesday buying
Bitcoin funds attracted $175.7 million on Tuesday, their strongest session. Wednesday's $261.4 million withdrawal then exceeded that intake.
Over the week, BlackRock's IBIT lost $165.4 million, while Fidelity's FBTC shed $60.2 million.
Smaller products also finished the week negative. Solana products lost $25.5 million, Zcash's tracked product lost $19.2 million and Hyperliquid products recorded $17.5 million in withdrawals.
