Goldman Sachs says oil prices could average $130 a barrel next year if Middle East output keeps facing disruptions. The bank's base case for Brent crude is lower, at $88 a barrel in 2027.
Goldman Sachs sees oil averaging $130 a barrel next year if supply from the Middle East continues to face disruptions.
Analysts at the investment bank, led by head of oil research Daan Struyven, wrote in a Sunday note that supply from the region is currently recovering. However, they flagged a high risk of reductions.
The $130 figure is a disruption scenario, not the bank's central forecast. Goldman's base case is for Brent crude to average $88 a barrel in 2027.
