Hyperliquid has reportedly submitted a proposal to U.S. regulators that would let it offer a limited slate of its perpetual futures to American traders through Kraken's Bitnomial licenses. The filing, described by CoinDesk, would mark the decentralized platform's first formal entry into the U.S. market while its broader offshore exchange stays geoblocked.
Hyperliquid has reportedly submitted a proposal to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission that would let it offer a limited selection of its perpetual futures to U.S. market participants, according to CoinDesk. The decentralized perpetuals platform plans to lean on Kraken's Bitnomial licenses, working with Kraken parent company Payward to tap Bitnomial's CFTC-regulated exchange infrastructure.
The filing would mark Hyperliquid's first formal entry into the U.S. market, though its full offshore perpetual futures application remains geoblocked for American users.
The CFTC's review of the proposal will determine whether Hyperliquid can operate in the U.S. Market participants will likely watch for official statements from Hyperliquid or Kraken on the approval status.
