Nvidia put $8 billion to work in Europe last year, according to CEO Jensen Huang. The total across European ventures reached approximately $8 billion.
Deal count doubles in 2025
Nvidia took part in 14 funding rounds for European tech and AI startups in 2025. In 2024, it joined seven.
The biggest headline deal was Mistral AI. Nvidia participated in the French company's €1.7 billion Series C round in September 2025, which valued Mistral at €11.7 billion.
Also in September 2025, Huang announced a £500 million investment in Nscale, a UK-based data center provider. In November 2025, Nvidia acquired an undisclosed stake in Revolut, which carries a $75 billion valuation.
Another $2 billion on the way
A second Crypto Briefing report says Nvidia will announce $2 billion in AI investments in Europe this week, according to a post on X. That figure comes on top of the roughly $8 billion in 2025 rounds.
Blackwell GPUs and industrial AI
Nvidia also plans to deploy thousands of Blackwell GPUs in Europe, with projects in France, the UK and Germany. In France, Nvidia targets 18,000 Grace Blackwell systems for Mistral AI in the first phase of their partnership. In the UK, it plans 14,000 Blackwell GPUs alongside Nebius and Nscale, and in Germany it aims to deliver 10,000 Blackwell GPUs for an industrial AI cloud.
Huang has pointed to what he sees as strong opportunities in Europe for AI that operates in the physical world, including robotics, factories and industrial automation, citing Europe's large industrial base. He also acknowledged that Europe urgently needs expanded energy infrastructure to support these technologies.
