Quant's QNT token jumped 38% after The Clearing House selected the network for its On-Chain Money Initiative and U.K. banks completed live tokenized-deposit transactions through its ecosystem. Spot and derivatives volume both spiked sharply, while the weekly chart broke out of a long descending channel toward its next resistance level.
QNT rallied 38% after fresh institutional developments extended the network's role in regulated tokenized payment infrastructure. The Clearing House selected Quant for its On-Chain Money Initiative. The network reportedly handles approximately $2 trillion in daily U.S. payments.
U.K. banks also completed live customer transactions, including tokenized sterling deposits, through Quant's ecosystem. Together, the two developments reinforced Quant's institutional adoption picture before investors repriced QNT aggressively.
Spot and derivatives volume both spike
Following the rally, QNT's spot trading volume climbed 228.9% to nearly $38.2 million. Derivatives activity moved even faster: corresponding volume there climbed 637.49% to $214.37 million, well ahead of the expansion seen across spot markets.
Open Interest pumped 78.87% to $29.54 million as traders opened fresh leveraged positions. The overall long/short ratio stood at 1.0483, tilted slightly toward longs. Liquidations, however, showed heavier pressure on traders betting against the move: short liquidations hit $439.43K over 24 hours, against just $65.67K in long liquidations, suggesting forced short closures likely amplified the buying.
The Spot Taker CVD stayed buyer-dominant, while the futures Taker CVD remained seller-dominant, a divergence separating steady spot demand from more cautious futures positioning. Exchange reserves jumped 39.49% to nearly $112 million in 24 hours, adding potential sell-side supply if holders move tokens onto exchanges for distribution.
Price tests a major resistance level
On the weekly chart, QNT broke above its prolonged descending channel, reclaiming the $80.53 level. The price then surged toward the $102.91 resistance area, with the token reaching $98.65 at the time of the source report. The RSI rose to 68.16, approaching overbought territory without crossing the 70 threshold.
The DMI showed the +DI signal at 35.29, well above the -DI signal at 13.63. However, the ADX held lower at 12.73, leaving room for stronger trend confirmation. A strong breakout could expose the $131.77 level as the next resistance, while a rejection could send QNT back toward the $80.53 support for a retest.
