Not all unlocked XRP stays on the market
Ripple's monthly unlocks are part of the company's effort to increase transparency and predictability around XRP distribution. Ripple initially put 55 billion XRP in escrow and releases it in an organized fashion over time to manage how much XRP enters circulation.
However, not all of the 1 billion XRP stays on the market. In the past, Ripple has returned about 700 million XRP to escrow and kept some of the unlocked tokens for operational needs, liquidity, and ecosystem-related activities.
RLUSD lands on Coinbase
October was a big month for Ripple and the XRP ecosystem. RLUSD was listed on Coinbase, letting clients trade and manage it through Coinbase Prime, Coinbase Exchange, and the Coinbase Retail app, with 1:1 conversion from U.S. dollars and other supported USD-denominated stablecoins.
