Strategy executive chairman Michael Saylor shared his Bitcoin accumulation chart on November 8, hinting at another purchase. The company's last buy was 811 BTC, and Bitcoin now trades slightly above Strategy's overall average cost of $75,451 per coin.
Strategy executive chairman Michael Saylor hinted at another potential Bitcoin purchase on Sunday, November 8, after sharing his accumulation chart. In an X post, Saylor wrote "Connecting the dots," as crypto.news noted. The post did not say whether the company had bought more Bitcoin or how much it might have spent.
Strategy's last purchase added 811 BTC
Strategy purchased 811 BTC between October 26 and November 1 for approximately $65.5 million, paying an average of $80,846 per coin, including fees and expenses. Its holdings then reached 849,327 BTC, acquired for an aggregate $64.08 billion.
The company funded that purchase by selling stock. According to its November 2 filing, Strategy sold 1,178,552 MSTR common shares through its at-the-market offering program, generating $164 million in net proceeds. Of that, $65.5 million funded the Bitcoin purchase and $98.5 million went to the cash balance.
Separately, Strategy repurchased 2,092,035 STRC preferred shares for $208.2 million using existing dollar-denominated cash.
STRC returns to its $100 par value
STRC closed at $99.84 on Friday, November 6, according to Google Finance data cited by crypto.news. CoinGape reported that the preferred stock reclaimed its par value of $100 over the past week, rising from as low as around $74, its 2026 low.
Bitcoin sits near Strategy's average cost
Bitcoin traded around $75,900 on November 8, below Strategy's most recent average acquisition cost of $80,846 but close to its overall average of $75,451.
Selling pressure across cryptocurrency markets and continued withdrawals from U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds have limited the recovery. A November 7 assessment recorded approximately $1.28 billion in net ETF withdrawals during November 2-6, including $411.9 million on Friday.
Another event looms on November 11, when MSCI is expected to announce its index review decisions.
