Securitize has launched tokenized U.S. stock trading on Solana, starting with tokens tied to Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia and other large-cap names backed one-to-one by real shares. The tokens settle in USDC and carry shareholder rights, with Securitize also eyeing ties to the NYSE and a new OKXICE venue.
Securitize has launched tokenized trading of U.S. stocks on Solana, starting with tokens tied to Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla, Meta and Amazon, with SpaceX, Palantir, Circle and Strategy also expected. CoinGape reported the rollout covers 12 equities in total, adding Netflix to the lineup named by The Block.
Shares, not just a price feed
The tokens are backed 1:1 by underlying shares held through Securitize Markets' regulated brokerage infrastructure, under a structure the firm calls the Convertible Entitlement Token. Holders get the applicable shareholder rights, including dividends and corporate-action entitlements, rather than a token that only tracks a stock's price.
Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo said the model differs from a token that merely tracks a stock's price: "Our goal is to bring the actual ownership experience onchain". The launch comes as tokenized stocks surpassed $3 billion in onchain value, with Securitize driving much of the recent growth.
Solana handles settlement, Jump supplies liquidity
Securitize chose Solana for the initial rollout and will settle trades in USDC, with Jump Trading providing liquidity and price discovery through the company's own automated market maker. Trading opens during extended U.S. market hours, and the firm plans to expand toward 24/7 access.
More than 1.27 million tokenized equity addresses existed on Solana as of October 1, reflecting the broader push by financial firms to bring real-world assets onchain. Securitize previously became the first company to debut shares both onchain and on the NYSE, launching its own SECZ shares on Solana and Avalanche.
NYSE and OKXICE next in line
Securitize also plans to connect its tokenized stocks to the NYSE's planned 24/7 digital securities venue, pending the exchange meeting regulatory and operational requirements. The firm separately aims to offer the same tokens through the OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue, which combines OKX's blockchain technology with Intercontinental Exchange infrastructure.
