US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum funds shed more than $1.22 billion in net withdrawals during the week of October 5-9, 2026. Bitcoin products had their weakest week since late June, while Ethereum products posted their largest weekly withdrawal since January. Solana funds also saw outflows.
US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds lost more than $1.22 billion in net withdrawals during the trading week of October 5-9, 2026. The outflows hit both of crypto's flagship ETF categories at once.
Bitcoin funds end a three-week inflow streak
Bitcoin funds recorded net redemptions of roughly $679 million to $681 million over the week. That ended a three-week streak of inflows for the group.
The heaviest damage landed midweek. Bitcoin products saw their largest single-day exit then, with redemptions topping somewhere between $484 million and $487 million.
Ether products log their biggest weekly withdrawal since January
Ethereum funds had their own rough stretch. They shed around $542 million across five consecutive days of outflows, the biggest weekly withdrawal for Ether products since January 2026.
The selling also pushed their losing streak to nine consecutive negative sessions. Added together, the Bitcoin and Ethereum figures came to approximately $1.22 billion in combined net outflows.
BlackRock and Solana funds in the mix
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and its Ethereum counterpart (ETHA) accounted for significant portions of the total outflows. Solana ETFs saw around $25 million in outflows, ending a 14-week inflow streak.
The week did not erase the year, however. Year-to-date inflows for both Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs remain positive despite the latest redemptions.
