Strive reported net income of $509 million for Q3 2026, driven largely by unrealized bitcoin gains. The company kept buying after the quarter ended and held 43,124 BTC as of Nov. 2, supported by a $630 million preferred stock offering.
Strive Inc. reported net income of $509 million for the third quarter of 2026, or $5.24 per diluted common share. The company recorded $533.7 million in unrealized gains on its digital assets, which made up the bulk of that profit.
However, revenue from the operating businesses was small. Their revenue totaled just $2.7 million against $38.7 million in operating expenses, so reported profitability relied on bitcoin appreciation rather than traditional business activity.
Bitcoin buying continues after quarter-end
Strive acquired 8,136 BTC during the three months ended Sept. 30. Its digital asset holdings were valued at $2.34 billion at quarter-end, compared with $668.5 million at the end of 2025.
Buying then accelerated considerably. The company bought another 15,124 BTC between Oct. 1 and Oct. 30, an increase of more than 54% from its Sept. 30 holdings of 27,876 BTC. A purchase disclosed Oct. 26 added 6,182 BTC for approximately $511.4 million.
Strive then purchased another 124 BTC for approximately $10 million, which lifted its holdings to 43,124 BTC as of Nov. 2. That purchase came after the Oct. 30 cutoff used in the financial report.
Preferred stock funds the purchases
Substantial capital raising has supported the buying. On Oct. 20, Strive completed a public offering of 7 million shares of its SATS preferred stock, generating approximately $609 million in net proceeds from a $630 million gross offering.
The security carries a 15% annual dividend rate. The preferred stock strategy avoids conventional borrowing but creates ongoing dividend obligations that must be met even when bitcoin prices decline.
Strive also said it is evaluating opportunities in banking, brokerage services, decentralized finance, reinsurance, asset-backed securities, and tokenization. As of Oct. 30, it held $490.4 million in cash and cash equivalents.
