XRP is recovering towards $1.30 after losing nearly 16% in October. US spot ETFs took in money last month but saw a small net withdrawal on November 2, and Ripple's escrow release added available supply without confirming any sales.
XRP traded near $1.27 on November 4, with a preceding 24-hour range of $1.24 to $1.29. The token began the month near $1.25, so the rebound starts from a lower base.
Even so, the recovery has not undone October. XRP lost nearly 16% during the month. Reversing a 16% fall takes a gain of approximately 19%. A move from $1.25 to $1.30 would be a 4% gain.
ETF demand stays positive for October but slips in November
US spot XRP ETFs attracted $18.83 million in October, according to SoSoValue figures. A positive monthly total can coexist with a falling token price, because funds are one route into XRP among several.
However, demand had already weakened. XRP funds recorded a weekly withdrawal of approximately $1.84 million during October 12-16, which ended a 13-week run of positive weekly flows.
Then came November 2, when the funds recorded $529,510 in net outflows. Combined fund assets stood at approximately $1.42 billion. The withdrawal therefore equals approximately 0.037% of that base. One small day does not show whether the slowdown in subscriptions is temporary.
Ripple's escrow release adds supply, not confirmed sales
Ripple's November escrow release made 1 billion XRP available on November 1. The release is part of a scheduled mechanism and does not establish that the tokens were sold.
Tokens can leave escrow, stay in a company-controlled wallet or return to a new escrow. A trader judging the rebound therefore needs to follow re-locking and later transfers before estimating how much reached the market.
Custody access and leverage shape the outlook
BNY expanded XRP and RLUSD custody on October 27, giving eligible institutional clients another way to hold the assets. Custody support does not disclose how much XRP clients have bought.
Leverage adds another variable. Short covering can lift the price before durable buying arrives, so a spot-led recovery and a leverage-led one can look the same on a price chart.
The upside case needs XRP to hold above $1.30 for more than a fleeting moment while net fund subscriptions recover. The downside case involves renewed trading below the recent $1.24-$1.25 area, with $1.20 as a reference level to monitor.
