Hyperliquid (HYPE) trades around $81 in mid-October 2026, about 17% below the record near $98 it set in late September and still more than three times its price at the start of the year. HYPE is the native token of Hyperliquid, a decentralized exchange for perpetual futures that runs on its own layer-1 blockchain; the token is staked to secure that chain and absorbs almost all trading fees through a continuous buyback. This page sets out PrimeXBT’s price outlook for HYPE through 2030 and out to 2050, the levels traders are watching after the September peak, and the catalysts that could move the token next. The ranges below are built for a token whose value tracks exchange revenue more closely than most of crypto, and they widen where that revenue is hardest to call.
Hyperliquid outlook at a glance
- 2026 base case: $68–$90 for the rest of the year, with the average easing toward $79 as ETF outflows and flat trading volume cool the September rally.
- Main bullish catalyst: a regulated route for U.S. traders, after President Trump said in August that the CFTC is working to bring Hyperliquid onshore.
- Biggest downside risk: monthly core-contributor vesting meeting weak demand, which would put the $75.60 support and then $67.60 in play.
- Long-term view: a slow climb above the 2026 high from 2028 onward, with the post-2030 figures readable only as a direction.

Hyperliquid price prediction 2026–2030 (yearly forecast)
The yearly ranges below are PrimeXBT’s own. Third-party targets, from algorithmic models to valuation work by crypto funds, start from very different assumptions about fee growth and token supply, so they are set out separately in the analyst section.
| Year | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | $68.17 | $79.87 | $89.70 |
| 2027 | $67.27 | $90.82 | $133.40 |
| 2028 | $67.25 | $108.25 | $151.20 |
| 2029 | $67.60 | $107.04 | $150.52 |
| 2030 | $73.45 | $120.73 | $172.01 |
Hyperliquid price prediction 2026
PrimeXBT’s outlook for the final quarter of 2026 puts HYPE between $68.17 and $89.70, with the monthly average slipping from about $81.50 in October to roughly $79 by December. The forecast assumes the token digests its September run rather than extending it: spot ETF demand has turned negative since early September, and weekly exchange revenue has gone flat.
The month-by-month path for the rest of the year:
| Month (2026) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| October | $73.35 | $81.50 | $89.65 |
| November | $70.83 | $79.17 | $87.51 |
| December | $68.17 | $78.93 | $89.70 |
Hyperliquid price prediction 2027
The 2027 outlook spans $67.27–$133.40, averaging near $90.82. The path climbs from about $81 in January to roughly $100 by December, a recovery that rests on fee growth from the newer market types rather than on a single event. The wide lower bound reflects how much HYPE still depends on token vesting, which runs through the year.
| Month (2027) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | $67.75 | $80.80 | $93.85 |
| February | $67.51 | $82.67 | $97.82 |

| September | $67.36 | $95.33 | $123.31 |
| October | $67.32 | $97.00 | $126.68 |
| November | $67.29 | $98.67 | $130.04 |
| December | $67.27 | $100.33 | $133.40 |
Hyperliquid price prediction 2028
2028 carries the cycle high in this outlook. The average path peaks near $112 in July and closes the year around $108.70, for a full-year range of $67.25–$151.20 and an average near $108.25. By then the core-contributor allocation is largely vested under the reported schedule, so buybacks face less new supply each month.
| Month (2028) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |

Hyperliquid price prediction 2029
2029 brings a shallow cool-down followed by a recovery: the average dips toward $104 in mid-year before ending near $111.50. The range for the year is $67.60–$150.52, with an average near $107.04.

Hyperliquid price prediction 2030
PrimeXBT’s 2030 view spans $73.45–$172.01, averaging near $120.73, and the path ends the year around $127. Four years out, the monthly rows describe a slope, not a calendar of targets: they depend on whether on-chain derivatives keep taking volume from centralized venues, which no model can pin down this far ahead.
| Month (2030) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | $73.45 | $113.00 | $152.55 |
| February | $74.42 | $114.50 | $154.57 |

Hyperliquid long-term price prediction: 2035, 2040–2050
HYPE has traded for less than two years, so any figure for the 2040s rests on a very short price history. The exchange model behind the token could mature, be copied, or be regulated in ways nobody can foresee yet, and each of those outcomes would change the answer by a multiple. The long-range path below assumes modest single-digit annual growth after 2031 and makes no attempt to price a breakout:
| Year | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2035 | $100.66 | $154.86 | $209.07 |
| 2040 | $119.55 | $183.93 | $248.31 |
| 2050 | $160.67 | $247.19 | $333.70 |
What analysts and models say (compared)
Few large tokens attract a wider spread of serious forecasts. CoinCodex’s algorithmic model and CoinShares’ 2026 estimate both sit in the mid-$60s, while the two crypto investment firms that have published full valuation models put long-run fair value anywhere from single digits to several hundred dollars.
| Source | Method | Hyperliquid view |
|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (October 16, 2026) | Algorithmic | About $66.56 average for December 2026; about $137 for December 2030 |
| CoinShares, Luke Nolan (June 2, 2026) | Price-to-fees valuation | $66.52 implied for 2026; 2031 bear $8, base $147, bull $456 |
| Multicoin Capital (June 2026) | Earnings multiple | $319 base case by 2028; bear $109, bull $689 |
| Allium Research (May 2026) | Blended valuation, 12-month | $78 base, $190 bull, $30 bear |
| Coinpedia | Editorial | $105–$185 for 2030, average about $125 |
| PrimeXBT | Synthesis | 2026 range $68.17–$89.70, average about $79.87; 2030 average about $120.73 |
The disagreement comes down to two inputs: how much trading volume Hyperliquid can capture, and what multiple the market will pay for it. CoinShares applies 10x to 20x fees to its revenue scenarios and lands at $147 in its base case for 2031. Multicoin assumes about $8 billion of annual earnings by 2028 at 20x, which yields $319, and the fund disclosed that HYPE is one of the largest positions in its liquid fund. CoinCodex’s model extrapolates price trend alone, ignoring fees. Each method can be defended, but they cannot be averaged into one number.
Track record of this forecast
This is PrimeXBT’s first published forecast for Hyperliquid. From the next monthly review onward, this section will set the previous month’s forecast against HYPE’s actual price on the update date and explain any miss in plain terms.
Hyperliquid technical analysis
As of mid-October 2026, HYPE trades below its short-term averages but well above its long-term trend. The 50-day simple moving average sits near $86 and the 200-day near $63, so the uptrend that began in January is intact while the momentum from September has faded. The 14-day RSI reads about 42, below the neutral 50 line but far from oversold.
The support and resistance map is clear. Immediate support sits at $78.40, then at $75.60, where the 100-day exponential average near $76 adds weight; below that, the next shelves are $67.60 and $61.10. On the upside, HYPE has been testing a horizontal barrier near $85, with the 20-day exponential average at $86.60 just above it and the September record near $97.90 beyond. A daily close back above $86.60 would show buyers have regained control of the short-term trend. PrimeXBT’s guide to crypto technical analysis covers how these signals are read.
Correlation with other assets
HYPE moves with the crypto market, but on a looser leash than most large altcoins. Over the past year its weekly returns have tracked Bitcoin and Solana most closely, and Ethereum only slightly less, yet those links are moderate rather than tight: in early June HYPE briefly overtook Solana’s dollar price while SOL sank to its lowest level since 2023. When Bitcoin dominance rises, most altcoins weaken against BTC, but HYPE also has its own driver in daily buybacks funded by exchange fees. Its link to the Nasdaq is weak, and its relationship with the U.S. dollar index and gold has been close to zero. Those readings come from a token with less than two years of history, so they can change quickly.
Fundamental factors
Hyperliquid began as an order-book exchange for perpetual futures and has grown into a layer-1 network with two parts: HyperCore, which runs the order books, and HyperEVM, a smart-contract layer. Trading volume is the engine. In the week to October 13, perpetual volume came to about $42.5 billion and protocol revenue to about $14.4 million, according to DefiLlama data reported by FXStreet. Close to all trading fees go to the Assistance Fund, which uses them to buy HYPE on the open market, so the token behaves more like a claim on exchange revenue than most crypto assets do.
The product has widened in 2026. HIP-3 lets outside teams launch their own perpetual markets on Hyperliquid, including contracts on stocks, commodities and equity indices, and keep half of the fees. HIP-4 added outcome markets, which went live on mainnet on May 2, 2026, putting Hyperliquid in competition with prediction platforms. Institutional access followed: 21Shares and Bitwise launched U.S. spot HYPE ETFs in mid-May, and Grayscale added a staking ETF. That channel has reversed lately. According to SoSoValue data reported by FXStreet, the three U.S. funds have seen $10.3 million of combined net outflows since the start of September.
Regulation is the swing factor for U.S. demand. On August 19, 2026, President Trump said CFTC Chairman Michael Selig was working to bring Hyperliquid to the United States in a compliant way. Bloomberg later reported that Payward, Kraken’s parent, had proposed giving users of its CFTC-regulated subsidiary Bitnomial access to some Hyperliquid perpetual markets. No approval or timeline had been published at the time of writing, and Hyperliquid’s own terms still restrict U.S. users.
The tokenomics cut both ways. Supply is capped at 1 billion HYPE. Hyperliquid distributed 31% in a genesis airdrop on November 29, 2024, set aside about 38.9% for future emissions and community rewards, and allocated 23.8% to core contributors. Those contributor tokens began vesting monthly in November 2025, with about 9.9 million HYPE scheduled per month through late 2027. The amount actually claimed has been far smaller in most months, according to Tokenomist, so the theoretical figure overstates the realized supply. About 254 million HYPE circulates today. Holders can also stake the token to secure the network, which keeps part of that float off the market.
Upcoming catalysts
Only confirmed, dated events are listed. HYPE’s own catalysts mostly lack fixed dates, so U.S. monetary policy fills the near-term calendar.
| Date | Event | Potential impact |
|---|---|---|
| October 27–28, 2026 | FOMC meeting | A dovish signal would support risk appetite and trading volume; a hawkish one would add to pressure from high Treasury yields |
| December 8–9, 2026 | FOMC meeting (with economic projections) | Sets the rate outlook for 2027 and the tone for crypto derivatives activity |
FOMC dates follow the Federal Reserve’s published 2026 schedule. Core-contributor vesting continues monthly through late 2027, but the exact date and size of each claim are not announced in advance, so these tranches are not listed as dated events. The CFTC’s decision on U.S. access has no published timeline.
Bull case vs bear case
Bull case:
- U.S. traders gain a regulated route to Hyperliquid markets, opening the largest pool of derivatives demand.
- HIP-3 markets on stocks and commodities lift volume, and the fee-funded buyback grows with it.
- Spot ETF flows turn positive again, adding steady institutional demand.
- The Fed eases, Treasury yields come off multi-decade highs, and speculative trading picks up across crypto.
Bear case:
- Contributor vesting and ETF redemptions add more supply than buybacks can absorb.
- Trading volume stays flat while yields remain high, shrinking the revenue that supports the token.
- Rival on-chain derivatives venues undercut Hyperliquid on fees and take market share.
- U.S. access stalls, or a regulator takes a tougher line on offshore perpetual markets.
Invalidation levels. The bull case weakens if HYPE closes below $75.60, about 7% under the mid-October price, where the 100-day average and horizontal support overlap; a break of $67.60 would put the whole 2026 uptrend in question. The bear case fails if HYPE reclaims the 20-day average at $86.60 on a daily close, and a move through the September record near $97.90 would leave no overhead resistance at all.
Historical performance
HYPE launched on November 29, 2024 and closed its first day near $6. It finished 2024 near $24, swung between about $10 in April 2025 and $59 in September 2025, and ended that year roughly where it began. 2026 has been the token’s breakout: from a close near $21 in late January, HYPE climbed to a record close above $97 on September 22, then gave back about a sixth of that peak by mid-October. Less than two years of trading leaves little history to test a model against, and HYPE has gained or lost half its value within a few months more than once.
Is Hyperliquid a good investment in 2026?
Hyperliquid stands out among large tokens because its price is tied to a revenue line: nearly every dollar of trading fees buys HYPE back. PrimeXBT’s outlook sees the token averaging near $79.87 for the rest of 2026, a pause after a year in which it more than tripled, with the next leg higher pushed into 2027 and 2028. The case for holding it rests on trading volume continuing to move on-chain and on U.S. access arriving. The case against rests on vesting supply, ETF outflows and a growing field of rivals. Which side carries more weight depends on the holder’s time horizon and how much volatility they can stand.
How to trade Hyperliquid on PrimeXBT
PrimeXBT lists Hyperliquid as a HYPE/USDT contract in its crypto futures range. A futures position tracks HYPE’s price without owning the token, so it carries no staking rights, and it can be opened long or short, which lets traders act on a falling market as well as a rising one. PrimeXBT’s explainer on crypto futures trading covers the mechanics. Leverage magnifies gains and losses alike, so position sizing and a stop-loss matter on any trade. Trade on your own analysis and risk tolerance, and never risk more than you can afford to lose.
Trading involves risk.
How we build this forecast
PrimeXBT’s analysts build this outlook from the market as it stands, not from a single feed. We begin with HYPE’s current price and its position against the 20-, 50-, 100- and 200-day averages and the support and resistance levels traders are defending. We then weigh what is specific to Hyperliquid: trading volume and fee revenue, the buyback that turns those fees into token demand, the vesting schedule, ETF flows and the regulatory path in the United States. Finally, we set that against the macro backdrop, chiefly U.S. rates and Treasury yields. The yearly ranges combine all three layers, and the bands widen with each year because the inputs become less certain.
The figures are estimates, not promises. HYPE is young and volatile, and a single regulatory headline or a sharp change in trading volume can move it further in a week than this outlook projects for a quarter. We review and update the forecast monthly as new data arrives.
How much will Hyperliquid be worth in 2026?
PrimeXBT's outlook puts HYPE between $68.17 and $89.70 for the rest of 2026, with an average near $79.87.
How much will Hyperliquid be worth in 2030?
The 2030 view spans $73.45 to $172.01, averaging near $120.73, with the path ending the year around $127.
What will Hyperliquid be worth in five years?
PrimeXBT's yearly path runs to 2030 and then rises slowly, so a five-year figure is a direction rather than a target. The outcome depends on how much derivatives trading moves on-chain and on U.S. regulation, neither of which can be priced precisely today.
Can Hyperliquid reach $100?
HYPE came close in September 2026, peaking near $97.90. In PrimeXBT's outlook the upper band first passes $100 in March 2027 and the monthly average reaches about $100 by December 2027, so $100 is within the modeled range but not the base case for 2026.
Is Hyperliquid a good investment in 2026?
It depends on time horizon. Fee-funded buybacks and the push for U.S. access support the case, while contributor vesting, ETF outflows and competing exchanges weigh on it. The 2026 outlook is a pause after a year in which HYPE more than tripled.
What will Hyperliquid be worth tomorrow?
This page is reviewed monthly and does not publish next-day targets, because a single-day figure would be out of date within days. For the current price, use the live chart on this page.
How many HYPE tokens are still unlocking?
Core contributors hold 23.8% of the 1 billion supply, vesting monthly since November 2025 at up to about 9.9 million HYPE a month through late 2027. The amounts actually claimed have been much smaller in most months, according to Tokenomist.
