OKX is sending 20 USDT to each user who can prove they live in La Guaira, the Venezuelan state worst hit by twin earthquakes on June 24. The credits arrive automatically, with no registration or claim code, and the move follows a similar $3 million pledge from Binance.
OKX will give 20 USDT to every user with proof of address showing they reside in La Guaira, the Venezuelan state hit hardest by the twin earthquakes of June 24, 2026. The exchange, one of the largest by volume, framed the payout as direct help for users caught in a disaster that left over 2,000 dead and hundreds of buildings collapsed.
Eligible users do not need to apply. OKX said the reward is credited automatically once eligibility is confirmed through the proof-of-address requirement, with no registration, claim code, or qualifying transaction. According to OKX: "the 20 USDT reward is automatically credited once eligibility is confirmed".
The exchange did not disclose the total funds set aside for the initiative. It said support was limited and would be distributed on a "first-come, first-served" basis, so payouts run until the pool is exhausted. OKX announced the effort through its Latam account, pointing to a region with growing crypto adoption.
OKX is not the first exchange to respond. Binance, described as the most popular exchange in Venezuela, pledged $3 million to users in La Guaira, Distrito Capital, Miranda, Aragua, Carabobo, Falcón, and Yaracuy. That campaign also offered 20 USDT per user, but through redeemable vouchers rather than automatic credits.
Both programs route a stablecoin directly to users in the affected areas. OKX said the crypto community has responded to the disaster in one of the Latam countries with growing crypto adoption.
