Spot XRP ETF inflows have now stretched to eight consecutive green weeks even as new filings widen Ripple's institutional footprint. At the same time, bearish derivatives positioning has XRP testing a critical support zone, with traders watching whether the token holds above its 200-day moving average.
Spot XRP ETFs have registered eight green weeks in a row, pushing cumulative net inflows past $1.7 billion, according to CryptoPotato. Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, Canary Capital, 21Shares, and Grayscale currently offer the products, and more issuers may follow.
New Filings Widen XRP's ETF Exposure
T. Rowe Price updated its crypto ETF filing to allow exposure across several digital assets, and XRP now carries a 9.15% weight in that filing, ahead of Solana's 8.73%, Hyperliquid's 4.94%, and Canton Network's 1.60%. Bitcoin leads the filing at 39.54%, followed by Ether at 18.86%.
Separately, Exchange Listed Funds Trust has filed the "CYBER HORNER S&P 500 and XRP 75/25 Strategy ETF" with the SEC, which, if approved, would give investors combined exposure to the S&P 500 and XRP in a 75/25 split.
Derivatives Data Turns Bearish
XRP has dipped more than 2% over the past few days, trading around $1.392 on Thursday, according to CoinJournal. On-chain data from CryptoQuant shows sell-side dominance in XRP's futures and spot markets, while the token's long-to-short ratio fell to 0.83, meaning short positions now outnumber long ones.
The XRP funding rate turned negative, standing at -0.0012% on Thursday, reinforcing the bearish tone among traders. XRP's first major support sits at its 200-day EMA near $1.354; a break below could expose $1.300 and eventually the $1.000 level, while resistance holds near $1.900.
Catalysts Ahead
Potential developments around the CLARITY Act, expected September 15, and next week's FOMC meeting could add further volatility to XRP's price. Analyst Ali Martinez has pointed to a nearly decade-long ascending triangle on XRP's monthly chart, arguing a monthly close above $3.66 resistance would activate a bull-market target near $60: "A monthly close above it would confirm the breakout and activate a technical target."
